Our shark tails are sustainably sourced, using bi-products of our own fish industry. Shark is better known to us as flake or gummy shark. This variety of shark is managed by Australian Fisheries and is declared as least concerned. By using left overs that we don't consume ie. skin, tails and fins we reduce the amount waste that is dumped.
Fish is a great source of nutrition aiding in joint health, digestion, coat & skin condition. Shark tails like all fish is packed full of protein, calcium, omega 3 and so much more. But shark tails contain the building blocks of cartilage of joint health - Chondroitin! Shark Tails have a hardy outer skin covering a meaty inside and cartilage, this layering is ideal for maintaining dental & gum health.
Our treats are not cooked. They are air dried or dehydrated at low temperatures to maintain nutritional benefits without compromising on safety. Bones that are cooked will become brittle which can lead to serious injuries. We value your pets health and only source from the best manufactures, as a result we have never had a report of injury caused by our treats.
We recommend that pets should be monitored which consuming treats and consider their eating habits when selecting treats.
As a natural product size and colour will vary depending on size and season of the shark. What to expect? On average you expect 8-9 tails per 100g. Most tails will range between 12-20cm. This particular shark tails are ideal for smaller breeds or puppies due to there size.
