Kangaroo ears are the perfect alternative for smaller or older dogs. Typically lamb ears would be first choice for smaller pets but now we have goat and kangaroo for these sensitive pets. Overall ears don't contain high levels of nutritional value like bones, organ or muscle meat do. As more is understood in dogs and cats diets we are seeing benefits in leaving fur on i.e.. ears and hide.

Fur on has a few essential benefits that commercial diets lack. 

• High-value - fur on treats trigger natural behaviours of excitement. We have seen fussy, non-food motivated dogs more intrigued and interested in these types of treats compared to others like puffs or liver.
• Texture - fur on ears are more flexible after air drying or dehydrating. This makes them more chewy compared to crunchy. This also stimulates the natural behaviors of excitement.
• Digestive - fur is only partially digestible but has so many benefits to the pets diet. The digestible part of the fur helps maintain gut bacteria while the non-digestible part cleans or sweeps the intestines. Fur will sweep the intestines removing worm eggs and help stools form without the needing grains or vegetables. This will also aid in the anal glands staying clear.
